Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

More sales from the same traffic through landing page rebuilds and A/B tests grounded in session data.

Overview

What conversion rate optimization (cro) looks like with Datalabs.

More revenue from the traffic you already have. We combine analytics, session recordings and user feedback to find where intent is being lost, then rebuild and test the pages responsible.

Each test has a stated hypothesis and a decision rule agreed before launch, so results end an argument instead of starting one.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) · FAQ

Questions we're asked about this.

Question not covered here? Ask a senior specialist →

How much traffic do we need to run A/B tests?

Roughly 1,000 conversions per month across the tested funnel gives enough power to detect realistic 5 to 10 percent effects within a two-to-four-week test. Below that, sequential redesigns validated by session recordings and usability testing are the honest approach.

What conversion rate should we expect?

Typical benchmarks are 1 to 3 percent for e-commerce and 2 to 5 percent for B2B lead generation, but your own trend line matters far more than any benchmark. CRO targets relative improvement against your baseline.

How do you decide what to test?

Hypotheses are built from analytics funnels, session recordings, form analytics and user interviews, then ranked by expected impact, confidence and effort. Testing button colours before fixing a broken mobile checkout wastes the traffic you have.

How long does a CRO programme take to pay off?

Most programmes recover their cost within the first two to three months, because early wins usually come from removing obvious friction rather than from marginal experiments. Compounding gains follow over the next two quarters.
